Exclude Customers From Your Loyalty Program

Version 2 of Bold Loyalty Points offers the ability to exclude certain customers from your loyalty program.

This is useful if you're offering deals to wholesale customers and don't want them to "double-dip" on the benefits they're receiving. Excluded customers will retain all of their existing points.

Excluded customers will not earn points, have the ability to redeem them, see the storefront widget, or receive program emails going forward.

This feature uses Shopify's customer tags to exclude your customers. Please visit Creating and Using Tags in Shopify for more information.

  1. From the Shopify admin, select Apps.
  2. Select Bold Loyalty Points.
  3. Select Settings, then Program Settings.

From the side navigation bar, select Settings. From the Settings dropdown menu, select Program Settings (first option)

  4. Under Exclusion tags, enter the customer tag you want to exclude from your program.

Within the Customer Exclusions section, enter in the customer tags that will be excluded from the loyalty program

  5. Select Add Tag.

To the immediate right of the exclusion tags text box, select Add Tag

  6. Repeat Steps 4 & 5for every tag you want to exclude. (optional)

Repeat the previous steps to add as many tags as you'd like to exclude from your program

  7. Select Save Changes.

In the bottom-right corner, select Save Changes
